This course is aimed for people aged 19 years or over.

Develop an awareness of health and safety within your organisation, and the essential knowledge and understanding to progress to higher level training or career development.

You will complete a written assessment that will test your knowledge and understanding of a wide range of modules, from the law and employer's and employee's responsibilities to risk assessments and accident & incident reporting.

Entry Criteria

It is recommended that you hold a minimum of Level 1 in literacy, or equivalent, to undertake this qualification.

You will be aged 16 and over.

Teaching and Assessment

The qualification is assessed by a written assessment.

You must successfully pass the written assessment to achieve the qualification. There is no grading of the assessment; you pass or are referred.

You will complete a written assessment paper containing 20 multiple choice questions 鈥 you must achieve a minimum of 15 out of 20 to pass.

The duration of the assessment is 40 minutes. An example question is 鈥楬ow can hazardous substances be identified?鈥
